In 2020 Dr Cardoso took over the oldest General Practice and first Fotofinder Mole Mapping Clinic in Cape Town from Dr Jens Pieper. After working in some of the Cape’s busiest Emergency Units, years of practicing Family Medicine at DoctorsRooms on Kloof, with Dr Hans Woermann, and Aesthetic Medicine at Dr Nerina Wilkinson, plastic surgeon, Dr Cardoso combined her interests and launched her own private clinic to provide modern medical care.

The cornerstone of my practice is developing an ongoing, clinical friendship focused on applying up-to-date evidence-based medicine for good health wellbeing. I integrate the care of patients of all genders and every age and have a special interest in Preventative Medicine, Dermatology and healthy ageing.

Dr Cardoso is a gentle and caring GP who has shepherded many mothers and their children in their health journey. She also has a strong network of paediatric specialists that she can call upon if required.
For women we offer pap smears, mental and sexual health support, contraception management like the insertion of Implanon and IUDs (mirena, kyleena, copper T, copper pearls ballerine etc). -
Pap smears for cervical cancer, breast examination and planning of mammography/ultrasounds for breast cancer, prostate cancer checks, colorectal cancer screening, melanoma screening and mole mapping using the help of Artificial Intelligence and German dermatology software FotoFinder.

Mole Mapping with FotoFinder. Skin conditions account for >30% of patient problems we see and treat. Common dermatological problems incl. rashes, dry skin and eczema, acne, hair loss, skin cancers, bites and stings, skin infections, genital ulcers, disorders of pigmentation, itch, warts and skin tags & sun damage. We also do small surgical procedures like suturing (stitches), removal of moles, treatment of ingrown toe nails, abscesses and sebaceous cysts etc.
